Recently, UK royal issued a new coin. The coin is worth five pounds. This coin is unusual because it has John Lennon's face on it.
John Lennon Coin
I think it is crazy that people voted for an artist to become one of the few public figures in London on a special coin. However, it does seem fitting since this year marks the 70th birthday. Lennon joins William Shakespeare, Winston Churchill, Charles Darwin, Florence Nightingale in the pack of special coins. John Lennon clearly made an impact on the UK. In his hometown, Liverpool, there is an airport named after him. There is also a statue of him in the center of Liverpool.
The coin has a face value of 5 pounds (which is $8 is US currency); however it will be put up for sale for 44.99 pounds. The article said that only 5,000 of these coins will be offered for sale.

Bullying
One of the "what would you do?"s we watched this week talked about bullying. When the experiment was done using teenage boys, it was very physical. However, when the experiment was done with teenage girls, the bullies taunted the girl with words. The experiment was conducted to find out if people would step in if they saw this going on.
After seeing this video, I think I will definitely step in the next time I see someone getting bullied. I know that if I do say something, it will make a difference, not only for the person getting bullied, but also the bullies themselves. Before I saw this video, I would not have normally stepped in into something like this unless it was my friend getting bullied. Now, however, I think I will have the courage to do so.
In the video, when the boys were physically bullying another boy, more people stepped in to stop this violence. However, when the girls were only using words to taunt their victim, less people stepped in than before. Just because the girls were only using words does not mean that the person getting bullied is hurt less. Actually, the victim, especially because she is a girl, will probably be affected for her entire life.
