Recently, a new website was launched for kids. It's called Skid-e-Kids. It is basically a facebook/myspace for kids. It is for ages 6-14. Parents are able to check their child's page at all times. There are games and a bunch of fun things to do for the kids. Do you think this website is really a safe place for kids?

I'm not really sure if this website is such a good idea. This website is as accessible for any adult as it is kids. Therefore, many people looking to harm children could easily get on this website. Probably easier than any other one. Even though parents can check what is on their child's page, I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have a child's information on the internet.

Week 9
On March 11, a tragedy struck Japan. An 8.8 earthquck hit Japan this past Friday. This caused a tsunami there and on the west coast of the United States. Many were affected by this disaster. People were injured, swept away by the water, or even killed. Do you think it is the U.S.'s responsibility to go over and help Japan?
JAPAN
Yes, I do believe that the United States has a responsibility to help Japan with this natural disaster. Just as in the past, with Haiti and when the hurricanes hit, we need to help as much as we can. Japan is going to need all the help they can get. Houses and all sorts of building will need to be rebuilt and it is our responsibility to help, just as the rest of the world should.
