The recent death of Osama Bin Laden has blown up the news reel. Many rejoiced after hearing of the assassination of the terrorist. Most recently though, the new problem society is asking for is photographic evidence of Osama Bin Laden's death. The government has decided not to give it out. Do you think this is reasonable?
Bin Laden
Yes. I do think that this is a reasonable decision. Even though Bin Laden was an awful man and did much harm to our country, he was still a human being. His religious traditions regarding death need to be respected. I think it is stupid for society to be asking for his pictures. It is obviously him. Even his widow identified the body as his.
I agree with Kim the man was a horrible person who did a lot of bad things to people in this world but he was still a person and we shouldnt go showing pictures of his dead body. Not to mention the fact that we have already rattled Al-Qaeda's cage all we'd do is stir up more trouble in the middle east by showing the world those pictures.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kim. There is no reason why a picture needs to be shown to the public of Osama. Obama would not lie to us about Osama being dead. Obviously they would make certain it was him.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kim. Osama was a human being and deserves some respect. People do not need to see the photos of his death. I feel it would be very disrespectful if the pictures were released.
